Children's Christmas Party PGE style

Christmas is upon us, I can't believe its almost here. Our latest outing was taking all three boys to the Christmas party without the parents. Boy, we had fun, I think. MaMa and PaPa were very busy. There were snow ball fights in 75 degree weather, pizza, games, cake walk, and a train ride in the parking lot. Jaxson decided to get on by himself, and as we were frantically looking for him, he simply waved to us as he went by. There's no picture of the train for obvious reasons. A good time was had by all including Mommy and Daddy who caught up on some shopping. We all came home tired and happy. A nap was in order. Not for the kids, for the grandparents.

December is here!

Our Christmas season started with a bang! On Nov. 30th, Bridgett and I had a Holiday Open House at her mother-in-law's home and sold lots of candles. The women loved our creations and spent lavishly. The payoff was around $350. Not bad for a couple of candle makers! The next day we had a Christmas Craft Faire in Grover Beach. Bridgett did many demonstrations, got lots of leads, but we didn't do as well in the dollar dept., however, we made enough to pay for our booth rental.
The very next day, PaPa and I (MaMa) took all three grandsons to the PG&E Children's Christmas party. It was a lot of fun, but I think we needed more hands! Jayden and Jaxson got to throw snowballs (around here they have snow dumped in an area so the kids can play in it)eat pizza, and while we were not looking, Jaxson got on the little train all alone and took a ride around the parking lot. We panicked when we couldn't find him, then the train went by and he simply waved at us! That's our boy! Addison was the best little guy, sitting in the stroller just mesmerized by all the activity. We all went home tired and happy.

Amberlight Candles

Bridgett and I attended a Candlewealth Convention at the Disneyland Hotel. We learned a lot about the soy candle products and got fired up (sorry for the pun!) about our candle venture, Amberlight Candles. We also went to Disneyland and had a lot of fun going on rides, just the two of us, no kids, no hubbies. It was a blast. Now we are using our information to help our customers learn the benefits of soy candles. Did you know paraffin is made from the sludge in oil barrels? It is full of carcinogens that go into your air when you burn them. Soy is non-carcinogenic, burns cleaner and longer. We are really excited to share our new hobby with everyone. If you want to check out Bridgett's web site go to www.cwlight.net/amberlights.
Meanwhile, just in time for Christmas, we are planning an open house to sell the candles we have made together and also are attending a Christmas Craft Fair in Grover Beach on Dec. 1st from 10:30 til 3:30. We will be demonstrating how to make candles. I am very proud of our new joint venture. This is something we can do right at home.

Update of family news

We have been remodeling our new house in Grover Beach. More demolition than construction at this point. I am not complaining, our new bedroom will be nice.

Jayden is now in 1st grade and cute as ever, still picks on his little brother, Jaxson, now 4, who picks on his little brother, Addison, 20mos, and he loves to laugh at them. They have an abundance of energy and light up my life every day. I am a proud Grandma and love to flaunt it!

Bridgett and I are making soy candles and giving classes. I am so proud of her and how creative she is! We have these classes at my house and at hers. The name of our company is
Amberlight Candles. What better name for beautiful, natural light. It is truly a family affair.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a blast! We all dressed up as vampires! Addison was our little Bat. Our little family trick or treated in Shell Beach with Matt's family and had so much fun. Grandpa stayed home and passed out candy at our new house in Grover Beach, but he said there weren't many little goblins around.

Jayden's birthday

Saturday is Jayden's 6th birthday. He is currently playing T-ball and is in Kindergarten. He loves his scooter, his dog Kylee, and picks on his little brother Jaxson.

Jaxson is 3 and in pre-school. He loves Spiderman, coloring, writing,. is quite physically active. He holds his own with Jayden, and loves his little bro Addison.

Addison just turned 1 and is crawling, gets into everything and puts it in his mouth, loves dogfood, any food, dancing, laughing out loud, just got 5 new teeth on top, is balancing really well, but not yet walking. He loves his big brothers and laughs at them a lot.
